Millie’s Lounge at The Ned Hotel, once the former HSBC headquarters, has been beautifully transformed into a stunning restaurant and hotel space. The grand architecture, marble columns, high ceilings, and classic design make it feel both historic and luxurious. Even the restrooms reflect the same attention to detail ; elegant, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We ordered the English Afternoon Tea, which was a unique and delightful experience. It was beautifully presented, with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, warm scones served with rich clotted cream and strawberry jam, and exquisite desserts, each pastry looking like a small work of art. We also tried the sticky toffee pudding, which was honestly the best version I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional; a big thank you to Thomas and Anya for their wonderful hospitality, and to Anastasia for taking care of our coats with such grace. Overall, we had an unforgettable afternoon at Millie’s, which offered a perfect blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and outstanding hospitality. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in London to enjoy the delicious food, excellent service, and live music which we unfortunately missed this time as we had to leave early.

Took my mom here for her first afternoon tea while she was visiting London. The venue was stunning, the marble columns, high ceilings, and a live band that added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The food was good - fresh sandwiches with options for different dietary needs, a wide tea selection, and a nice variety of desserts. Everything was well presented and enjoyable, but nothing particularly special compared to some more affordable places we've tried. Service started off well, with a helpful intro from our waiter, but it became difficult to get assistance during the meal (even when we got their attention). Some items were completely missed, and things like drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive. For £60+ per person, I expected a bit more. The setting was beautiful and the experience was memorable for my mom, but the food and service didn’t quite match the price.
We came in just for cocktails during the after-work crowd, and it was the ideal place to sip a martini and people-watch. The bar was buzzing, which really elevated the vibe. The martinis were fantastic, and we even caught live music — two bands in the short time we were there!
Came here for brunch to celebrate mine and my friends birthday. Prices seem reasonable when looking at the menu, however totting them all up led to a rather expensive bill! But…the food was delicious, the BEST brunch I’ve had in a long time. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

The atmosphere was enhanced by the live music, and we found ourselves completely at ease in the sophisticated yet comfortable space. With its classic dishes, curated wines, and creative cocktails, Millie's Lounge is a fantastic spot to unwind and appreciate a touch of timeless elegance.
Best gift to myself I could have had. Great service, the high tea was delicious and often refilled. Great quality tea, I was very full when I left because of the delicious scones. A sweet extra was the mini birthday cake they offered me. I hope I can return next year!
Treated myself to an afternoon tea at Millie's Lounge as I was keen to try the collaboration with Crumbs and Doilies. The experience did not disappoint! There was a great tea selection to choose from, very tasty sandwiches and scones, but the cakes from Crumbs and Doilies stole the show, the breakfast roly poly being my favourite and a thank you to my waitress for suggesting I save it for the end, it was the best way to finish. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, and the musicians serenading everyone was a lovely addition. I was very impressed and I will be visiting again.
